Centrally and yet quietly situated on the edge of Sand in Taufers is the Naturresidenz Mair zu Hof in the Tauferer Ahrntal, a holiday jewel amid the South Tyrolean mountainscape. The village centre is just 3 minutes away on foot.


Inwards the valley borders the Ahrntal, one of the most attractive side valleys of the Pustertal, by the glaciers of the main alpine ridge, and out from the valley rise the breathtaking mountain castles of the Dolomites.

On account of their privileged position, the apartments of the Naturresidenz prove to be an ideal starting point to discover the secrets of the Ahrntal and the beauty of the South Tyrol.

The 8 apartments of Saint Mauritzien are the heart of our house. Naturally furnished in solid wood, they radiate warmth and cosiness. The local, carefully worked larch timber of the floors and 2nd floor rafters provides for a pleasant living environment.

With a floorspace of 45 - 55 m², our apartments, with their comfortable furnishings, will meet all your requirements.

As well as a bath with shower and WC, all the apartments in our house have a balcony or conservatory, separate living rooms and bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, satellite TV, Wireless LAN, internet access, safe and hairdrier, as well as a small farm stove.

Where can you do all this better than in South Tyrol? The landscape presents itself full of contrasts, the leaves become red or yellow and the first peaks are covered with snow. The sky is still dark blue, the temperature pleasantly warm and the air is so clear that from some mountains you will see the whole region.
Essential for both caution and awareness of what you are doing! The mountain is in fact a good friend and companion effects but we must learn to know, respect and above all not wanting to challenge it!
