I went with Alison and would add the following comments. Children refers to under 10's, as teenagers should have no more problems than adults with the tbars and the walking around the resort/slopes. The bus service is also relatively poor compared to my experience in other resorts (eg Val D'Isere, Grindewald, Davos, Verbier, Trois Vallees) as it only ran from 0830 to 1830 and took a break for lunch. It wasn't frequent enough, was always packed full, and was definitely needed due to the steep slopes in the village up to the lift. Very little of the accomodation wouldn't need to walk up to the lift station. One particular gripe was the main 'missing' red piste back from the sloipes to the village centre; clearly on the map but clearly not existing. This meant returning to the village in the day (eg for lunch) wasn't practical at all, especially given the remaining choice of slopes back for children(long black or difficult red path to the bottom of the village), especially with and the lack of the bus service at that time! However, on the plus side there did seem to be some well organised family type events in the village centre each day, though we didn't partcipate and of course you couldn't ski back to that point easily with children.

We went to this resort encouraged by the fact that it was very family friendly. The village is lovely, albeit a very steep walk to anywhere, which is tough on children, and the standard of accomodation is very high. The ski slopes however are most definately not child friendly, mainly due to the poor lift system, mainly T-bars - which with one of them, if you fall off whilst on your way to the red the only way down is on a steep black. The first chair that you come to requires you to walk up a short slope to get on and again when you get off, which when you have a child without ski poles is less than enjoyable. One of the runs from this chair then has a VERY large hill in it which requires a very fast schuss to get up- our 6 year old is a competent skier but even at her fastest couldnt get up the hill... more walking and pulling ! The red run on the piste map that would have taken us to just above the village would have been ideal, but it did not exist! which left one black run back to the top of the village as your route home. There is one lovely run that is serviced by a chair and is a nice long run, but there is a limit to how many times you can go up and down the same run without the boredom setting in. We skied for 2 days in Anzere then for the final 3 days travelled to Crans Montana which was fantastic ! Fabulous, well prepared, varied slopes, good lift system well worth the 25 minute journey and slightly more expensive lift pass.
