Does Chamonix have a Mayor? It does have good hills, rescue teams, but that is where it ends. Headed up on sunday & pulled into the first parking lot, no parking attendents so cars were parked every which way, plus a 1 1/2  hr wait to get up the one tram. So I headed over to Grand Montets to try my luck there. They were still digging out the parking lot but because most take the bus parking (on the ice) was not a problem. But they only had the tram going! The lift was not even up and operational as of 10:30! I guess they only work from 9-3? What happened to starting at 4 in the morning to get the job done? Another 2hr tram line? The French just don't get it, I mean the main parking lot near the cematery in town has 12 cm of ice and ice pot holes? Let me tell you Chamonix you are not crowded you are just so inefficient that you seem crowded, there is a big difference. You did not get my money that day, I went to the gym. Yes, I know you don't care and the ice will eventually melt. You keep playing this mediocrity theme song? By the way you are heading into another avoidable recession because you failed to recongnize the last one properly. Oh well...
