What a great start to the snow season for 2011. Dry powder so early in July and its still falling!!! Thredo is such a great resort, off piste or on snow. No matter what level you are. A lift height over 2,000metres. Great night life, but don't drink too much, Police are out in force. Great cross country skiing on the back runs. If you don't want to drive and worry about chains, catch the SKI TUBE to Perisher or Mt Blue Cow, great resort too. Try skiing in OZ, a great experience. 6 hour drive from Sydney or 4 hour from Melbourne to the Victorian Alps.

When the snow is good, Thredbo is the best place to board in NSW without a doubt. Long runs, good powder stashes and some really good off piste if your keen to get off the runs. If your in OZ in winter its a must do for sure. The night life is tops too!! P.S. Dont drink and drive though!!
