Michael Walchhofer returns to the podium

Michael Walchhofer won the downhill race in Beaver Creek and finally saved the Austrian Ski Team with their first win of the new season. Former Downhill Champion Walchhofer beat out all the other favorites and was ahead of American Steven Nyman and Didier Cuche from Switzerland.Miller in 6th place The Birds of Prey piste was shorter than usual due to bad snow conditions but still was challenging. Walchhofer beat Nyman by 5/100 of a second while Didier Cuche came in 3rd was only 10/100 behind. Didier Defago and Marco Buechel missed the podium by a few hundredths. Bode Miller had almost a crash at the start but managed to get to the 6th place in the end. SKI WORLD CUP |
