Top of the mountain concert - Alicia Keys in Ischgl! A world star in Ischgl: Beautiful, sexy and intelligent, she really knows how to rock the stage and bring out goose bumps with her astounding voice. Alicia Keys will be topping off Ischgl´s 2009/2010 winter season with a performance at the Top Of The Mountain Concert on 1 May 2010, starting at 1 pm. Special treat: Ischgl guarantees perfect sunshine skiing right through till May.

The Alpine and lifestyle metropolis of Ischgl is famed for its world-class concerts set in front of a breathtaking backdrop of mountains. 1 May 2010 will see a soul-style finish to the season with R&B diva Alicia Keys taking to the stage on Idalp up at 2,300 metres´ altitude. Booking this top act was another stroke of genius by the organisers in Ischgl, who are expecting to see guests flocking in from Austria and beyond. The chart-topper will be giving her one and only concert in Austria to date on the legendary Top Of The Mountain stage. In the heart of the Silvretta Arena and surrounded by a stunning backdrop of mountains on Idalp, the gorgeous New York-born singer is set to enchant an expected 25,000 fans with hits such as "Fallin´", "No One" and "Superwoman". She will be bringing some highly emotive music to Ischgl´s mountains: Strong and powerful, Alicia Keys´ songs also charm listeners with their gentle touch of soul.

With her performance at the Top Of The Mountain Concert, Alicia Keys will be joining the ranks of other superstars who have played one of the world´s most unique concert venues - the likes of Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Sting, Bob Dylan, Tina Turner and Pink have already taken to the Idalp stage in Ischgl. Admission to this ultimate event is free with a valid lift pass. On 1 May, a one-day ski pass will be available for the one-off price of €75. Two-day tickets can be obtained for €100 (both tickets include the concert). The concert will kick off at 1 pm, high up on Idalp.

Unforgettable live act with a stunning backdrop of mountains
Alicia Keys is a pop, soul and R&B singer, producer, songwriter and actor (she has been seen in films such as "Smokin´ Aces" and "The Nanny Diaries"): a real all-round star. The 28-year-old has already won an incredible twelve Grammy Awards for her musical achievements. Born in Manhattan, New York, in 1981, the artist is the daughter of a Jamaican flight attendant and an Irish-Scots musical singer with an Italian background. After her parents separated, Alicia was brought up by her mother in New York´s Hell´s Kitchen neighbourhood, which was to have a lasting effect on her. When she was 16, Alicia Keys left high school early and signed a record contract for a demo. She didn´t have to wait long for success: Her debut album "Songs in A Minor", which was released in the summer of 2001, achieved enormous success in the charts - selling over 25 million copies - and brought her five Grammys. All of her five albums have made it to number 1 in the US Billboard Charts - a real record, as she is the first female R&B artist to achieve this in the USA. Alicia Keys released her long-awaited new album at the end of 2009: "The Element of Freedom". All her fans who come to Ischgl can look forward to hearing her brand new hits live!

The very best in winter sports
Ischgl in winter is a must for all skiing and snowboarding fans. The Silvretta Arena offers a wide variety of slopes of all degrees of difficulty and its location, with a maximum altitude of 2,900 metres, means that snow is guaranteed. A giant fun park, freeride areas and fantastic events throughout the winter round off the activities on offer. A superb network of 235 kilometres of slopes, stretching all the way to Samnaun in Switzerland, and state-of-the-art cable cars mean that you can ski to your heart´s content. The highlight is the eleven-kilometre descent from the Greitspitz, at just under 2,900 metres, to the valley at 1,400 metres. Spring sunshine and snow right through till the last day´s skiing on 2 May make the area the most popular winter sports resort in the Alps, especially in springtime.
