Adelboden-Lenk...What else?

„Adelboden-Lenk...what else“ is the strapline of the ski region Adelboden-Lenk which stretches out over the two valley villages Adelboden and Lenk. It is divided into four unconnected areas: Frutigen-Elsigen-Metsch, Engstligenalp, Adelboden-Lenk/ Tschentenalp and Betelberg-Lenk. Each area is accessible by a cost-free skibus, however waiting time and distances between the areas need to be taken into consideration when planning the day. A diverse range of trails as well as the high altitude of 1.053-2.400m guarantee snow and fun for winter athletes of all ability levels until springtime. The villages of Lenk and Adelboden are located in two different valleys and are thus closely connected only by pistes. Driving distance is about 80 km, so it is important to decide before your holiday where you would like to stay. Coming from Austria/Germany or East Switzerland take highway A1 until Bern, then change to A6 in the direction of Spiez. There you have to decide whether you would like to take the main road towards Frutigen/ Adelboden or towards Zweisimmen/ Lenk. Coming from Germany/ France or North Switzerland it is best to take highway A2 until Bern and then continue as mentioned above.
