Alta Badia is a highly recommendable ski resort for beginners and families. For athletic skiers however the array of slopes is rather mediocre. Winter sports fans that are looking for challenging terrain to test their skills on will have to search for a while. Apart from the trails 1, 12 and 17 which lead down to the villages Corvara, San Cassiano and La Villa in the valley, there are only few intermediate level trails. The great advantage however is that the Dolomiti Super Ski-pass allows accessing the “Sella Ronda” from Alta Badia. This famous “round trip” takes skiers in a little less than a day across terrain in Arabba / Marmolada, Val di Fassa-Carezza and Alta Badia. The Dolomiti Superski – Pass enables accessing 1220 km of skiable terrain in 12 ski resort, a sure winter paradise for all skilled skiers!! However Alta Badia can not receive more than 3 stars in the intermediate category as the terrain is simply too gentle.
