Alta is a special ski resort which is reflected in Alta Village. Over night guests have rustic lodges at their disposal and you will look in vain for exclusive shopping or party locations. In Alta you ski until your legs give in and you go to bed early in order to be fit in the morning for the next descents. Alta and Snowbird, the interconnected ski resorts, feature 150 km of trails and are certainly among the most challenging ski resorts in the USA. One of Alta’s great advantages is the fact that it is only an hour car ride away from Salt Lake City International Airport. The fastest way to the ski resort is via the Interstate 80 east. Exit at 117 and follow the Interstate 215 south. It is recommendable to leave the Freeway at exit 6 and switch to the UT-190. From there Snowbird and Alta are signposted.
