Helpful?
  • Lots of easy terrain
  • Designated areas for children
  • Great variety of slopes for advanced skiers
  • Après-Ski could be better
  • Limited variety of slopes
Overall score:
68 / 100

Great for beginners, families and off-piste fans!

Ankogel Mallnitz scored well in the Beginners and Families categories. Its bunny slopes and kids park at the base are perfectly suited for first-timers. The rest of the ski area consists mostly of red and black trails, so you won’t want to explore the rest of the resort until you’re a little steadier on your skis. Intermediate skiers and boarders will also find enough challenges to keep them busy for a day. If you’re planning a longer ski trip, however, you might want to throw in a little more variety and spend a day at the Moelltaler Glacier, just 25 kilometers away. There you will find, as opposed to Ankogel, a terrain park for freestylers. Off-pisters will find plenty of powder to explore at Ankogel if snowfall allows and avalanche risk isn’t too high. Après-ski is relatively humble with the exception of the “Schi-Circus. “

quiet family ski area
There is everything to ride what you wish for, a chairlift would still be desirable

Little operation and Super Long Valley run
The biggest ski resort is not, for this you have great pistes with little operation and no après ski fun. Especially the 7 km long valley run has done us. Would love to come back.
