Experts will find Buttermilk satisfying only for few hours! It is recommendable to only ski there at high season and on weekends when the heavy rush of people at Aspen`s other resorts becomes fun spoiling. Buttermilk is less frequented and waiting times at lifts are exceptions. Therefore experts can spend some fun hours in the very difficult terrain “Racer’s Edge”, “Javelin” and “Sterner”. Unfortunately the “Upper Tiehack Chair” is rather slow and the offer of difficult slopes limited. That is why we recommend expert skiers to visit Buttermilk only at exceptional circumstances. Otherwise it is good to know that the famous steeps at Aspen Highlands and the world-renowned moguls at Ajax are only a few kilometres away.
