Resort Review Aspen Buttermilk - Intermediate Skiers

An intermediate skiers warm-up mountain

Evaluation Intermediate Skiers: Aspen Buttermilk: Evaluation: 3
Buttermilk has little to offer for skilled skiers and consequently skilled skiers will probably not spend a lot of time there. The only challenging terrain are the black steeps at the “Upper Tiehack Lift”. Allthough the “Tiehack” accesses also nice intermediate carving runs like the “Bucksin” and the “Sterner Gulch” the lift is very slow and therefore downs ski fun. We recommend skilled skiers to rather ski at Aspen Snowmass only 10 km away where half of the 137 km of skiable terrain is earmarked as intermediate level. In Snowmass intermediate skiers can spend several enjoyable days.

Thanks to the "High Speed Quad Summit Express" there are hardly any waiting times at lifts!
Intermediate trail "Columbine"
The trails at the "Summit Express"are quite flat. More challenging is the terrain at the "Upper Tiehack Lift"
