The „Ski & Snowboard School“ is located right at Apen base. Unfortunately skiing lessons are offered only for kids who are at least 5 years old. Luckily children can be dropped off at the “Kids Club” in Garmisch Street 315. We recommend parents with small kids to definitely make use of the kids care service and NOT take them skiing at Aspen Mountain. Ajax is an experts mountain und small kids are much better off at Buttermilk located only 5 km away or at Snowmass (12 km away). Off the alpine skiing trails there is lots of family fun to be had in Aspen. Horse drawn sleigh rides, hot air balloon rides, snowshoeing, toboggan and even skidoo tours through the Rockies. There should be something to please every family member! We recommend to contact the local “Guest Services” at the base.
