"The Cirque" - a free-rider`s dream come true! |

Even though expert skiers will probably prefer Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands we still think that it is an expert`s duty to also visit “Snowmass”. Especially the numerous powder runs at the 3813m high “The Cirque” like “Dikes”, "East Wall" or "Gowdy´s are among the most challenging trails featured in the Rockies. The free-ride area “Hanging Valley” is a short hike away from the “High Alpine Chair”. Beautiful tree-skiing terrain like the “Lower Ladder” or “Cassidy`s” are worth every minute it takes to walk there! Those that prefer challenging groomed to challenging ungroomed terrain are not too well off at Snowmass as there are few challenging groomed slopes to be found in the resort, ski aces of the sort we recommend the steeps in Aspen Highlands! At the “Village Express” chair there are often racing tracks to be found in the “Spider Sabbich Race Center”!
