Resort Review Aspen Snowmass - Families
Snowmass Village - the family friendly alternative to Aspen Town!
| Evaluation Families: |
|
Snowmass has the reputation of being the family friendliest of the four Aspen resorts. Families that prefer a tranquil accommodation in proximity to lift facilities Snowmass is certainly firs choice. If kids are not complete novices to snow-sports the numerous intermediate trails covering the gentle mountain slopes will not cause any difficulties. If the kids however have never before enjoyed skiing or boarding it is certainly recommendable to start the skiing adventure in Buttermilk! Although Snowmass provides gentle beginner terrain like the “Fanny Hill” and the “Assay Hill” close to the bases, Buttermilk features more practicing possibilities and more trails of easy level. The local ski school located in Snowmass Village also provides day care programmes. And there is far more family fun to be had in Snowmass! The “Krabloonik” Restaurant in “Sams Knob” is the starting point for the daily dog-sledding tours and at “Elk Camp” kids can enjoy guided tours where they can learn lots of interesting things about the Rockies wildlife and flora.
