Snowmass provides 137km of skiable terrain and offers more diversity than the other Aspen resorts. More than half of Snowmass terrain is earmarked intermediate level (blue) which caters especially to skilled skiers. But also expert skiers and snowboarders get their moneys worth. The excellent freeride area “Hanging Valley” and the “Cirque Headwall” will leave even the best among winter sports enthusiasts breathless. Three terrain parks and two halfpipes top off the excellent features! Snowmass is without doubt the most diverse of the four Aspen resorts, all the other Aspen Mountains did specialize on a certain clientele. Buttermilk for instance is the perfect beginner resort and Aspen Mountain / Ajax should be left to very skilled skiers only.
