Axalp is a full-out beginners' ski resort. The only run experts might be interested in is the ungroomed Stalden (Nr. 7 on the trail map). The many t-bar lifts might also scare off good skiers. Our advice to the experts: The 16 miles(25 km)-away Hasliberg resort has a black trail, a permanent slalom run and excellent possibilities for freeriders.
