Resort Review Axalp Brienz - Intermediate Skiers
More experienced skiers will be better served at nearby Hasliberg!

The entire ski area at Axalp consists almost exclusively of gentle slopes. Even its two red trails Stern (Nr. 4 Please see trail map) and Tschingel (Nr. 5) are each only 500 meters long and not very challenging. The longer Horbingen trail (Nr. 6) and the ungroomed Stalden (Nr. 7 on the trail map) offer a bit more variety. But for winter sports fans harboring high expectations, the trail selection won't be enough to keep them happy for more than a few hours. We recommend that good skiers spend only a few hours at Axalp and then head off to Hasliberg - which is only about 16 miles (25 km) away (access through Meiringen). The variety here, with 37 miles (60 km) of available trails, will keep even the more advanced skiers happy.
