The ideal ski resort for daytrips

Axamer Lizum, situated 25 km away from Innsbruck surprises us right at the beginning by its easy access. From the north comfortably accessible via the highway A 12. After exiting the A12 at Inssbruck Süd it’s only another few kilometres to the skiresort. From Innsbruck it is also accessible by bus in only 45 minutes. Parking lots are situated at the base in short walking distance to the ticket counter and the chair lifts and cableway. Due to its altitude, 1500 m und snowmaking on 75% of the terrain, skiing is possible from mid November on. A highlight is the cable railway (Olympiabahn), providing a fast and easy ascent. Furthermore there are two quadruple chairlifts, four double chairlifts and two tow lifts. The entire Axamer Lizum Lift System has a total uphill capacity of 12042 skiers per hour.
