If you want to reach the skiing area by car from the north it is most recommendable to take the A10 motorway (Autobahn) till you get to the exit “Gasteinertal” near “Bischofshofen”. Then take the “Bundesstraße” B167 (main road) which leads directly into the “Gasteinertal” valley. For those wanting to enter the skiing area from the south it is also recommendable to get there via the A10 because otherwise you have to go through several serious mountain passes. Bad Hofgastein is situated about 50 kilometres south of the provincial capital Salzburg. A large parking lot, for both cars and buses, is connected with the base station by a pedestrian underpass.
