Ski Resort Balderschwang – snow fun in Germany’s highest county
The ski resort Balderschwang in the Allgäu features some 30 km of skiable terrain ranging from easy to difficult. The slopes around Germany’s highest county on 1044m are known for their powdery snow quality due to a dry mountain micro climate. The ski resort is easily acessible via the A 7 (highway) or the B 12 (National Road Augsburg , Munich). After Kempten at the Allgäuer Kreuz (junction) keep to your right in direction Weitnau (Lindau). Exit at Waltenhofen and take the B 19 national road to Fischen from where Balderschwamg is signposted. However keep in mind that you need to travel via the Riedbergpass on 1420m and snow chains might me necessary. Free and ample parking spaces are located in proximity to the Schelpenbahn Lift.| Final grade: |
