Resort Review Belalp - Experts

Three black runs on Hohstock (over 10,000 ft / 3112 m)!

Evaluation Experts: Belalp: Evaluation: 3.5
While Belalp-Blatten may only be a middle-sized ski area with its 37 miles (60km) of trails, with Tunnel Westseite, Gletscher, Aletschbord and Häx Oben, it's not lacking much in the black trail department. Tunnel Westseite off of Hohstock is the longest. In the rest of the ski area you'll find only blue and red trails which won't present much of a challenge for experts. The no. 4 red trail, however, might spark their interest anyway, taking skiers from Hohbiel at 8700 ft (2680m) over the Tälli trail (no.2) down to Kühmatte at 6700 ft (2047m). There are two things that you won't find at Belalp - a permanent race course and a groomed mogul slope. Freeriders will find plenty of ungroomed slopes to take some turns in the deep snow. But alone the amazing views (like the one from the „Aletschbord“) of the World Heritage Aletsch Glacier are enough to make a day-trip to Belalp worth even an expert skier's time.
