Belalp – the little ski resort on the longest glacier in the Alps!

This ski area set above Naters and Blatten with a total of 37 miles (60km) of groomed slopes, isn't exactly one of the biggest ski areas in the Swiss canton of Valais. What Belalp-Blatten is known for is its unique location on the Great Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. The easiest way to get there is to take the „Autoroute Du Rhône“ (A9) through Brig toward Naters. When you get to Naters, follow the signs directing you to Blatten-Belalp. Here you can pay to park directly at the base terminal. If you want to save yourself the parking fees, you'll have to use the lot located almost a mile (1,5km) away from the base.
