The fact that at Belalp you get a chance to catch sight of the Great Aletsch Glacier between trails should be reason enough for winter athletes to decide to spend their ski vacation here. It is particularly popular among beginners and families with small children as well, thanks to the 4.3 mile (7km) sledding trail and the kids' terrain park on Kühmatte. Even advanced skiers will have enough to keep them busy with a full 12 miles (20km) of red trails and another 12 of blacks around Hohstock (10,200 ft/3112 m). In short, the breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps isn't the only thing that would make a trip to Belalp worth your while.
