The slopes at the winter sport resort Belalp are suitable for Snowboarders of all skill levels. First-timers can try their first moves next to the short t-bar lift on Kühmatte (6715 ft/2047 m). And once you feel more comfortable on your board, you can give the BLUE and RED trails around Schönbiel a go (7546 ft/2300 m). The red trails next to the Sparrhorn chair lift as well as the black ones around Hohstock are also great snowboarding runs. For freestyle fans there's a terrain park on Hohbiel and some grinding pipes at Sparrhorn's base terminal. Freeriders won't be lacking opportunities to ski off-trail either. Snowboarders should stick to the Blatten-Belalp gondola for their descent to the base. Trails 24 and 25 are BLUE trails and run in flat serpentine curves for almost four and a half miles (7km) back to Blatten, which makes it really difficult to get back without unstrapping from your bindings.
