Resort Review Berwang - Snowboarders
A great start for beginning snowboarders!

Skischaukel Berwangertal is an especially good choice for beginning boarders. Its broad blue slopes off of the 1610 meter-high Hochalm are particularly accommodating and have beginner-friendly lifts leading up to them (gondola and chairlift). Intermediate boarders will be catered to by 11.5 kilometers of red and black slopes, most of which are located on the far side of Oberer Rastkopf (1740m). The drawback is that in order for you to reach them with your board, you have to follow some very long cat tracks up to the Panoramabahn Rastkopf, which means unstrapping and getting on with the march. With a good snowfall and a low avalanche risk, you’ll also find some nice off-piste on Oberer Rastkopf (please refer to trail map). Though Berwang has neither a terrain park nor a halfpipe, thanks to the existence of the Zugspitz Arena pass, freestylers are free to stray to other ski areas that are equipped with both (such as Ehrwald or Wetterstein). Skischaukel Berwangertal receives a total of 3 out of 5 possible stars in the Snowboarding category.
