A spectacular free-ride area between Miret mountain station (2418m) and Gneida (1450m)

Valuation Snowboarders:

“XXL-broad groomed pistes!” This is the slogan of the ski resort Brigels Waltensburg Andiast. A large part of the ski resort stretches above the timber line. If you keep the danger of avalanches in mind there are plenty of outback possibilities around the mountain “Fil”. Especially the free-skiing area between Miret mountain station and Gneida is an absolute hot-spot for snowboarders and free-riders. Snow-making systems cover the entire 700m long ski- and boarder-cross course with kickers, corners, jumps and rails. Luckily snowboarders can get back to the top of the free-ride area quickly within seven minutes by using the t-bar lift “Parli”. The ski resort Brigels Waltensburg Andiast can compete with the large Austrian skiing destinations in the category “Snowboarders” thanks to this great free-ride area. Boarders and free-riders who don´t mind the rather small size of the ski resort where groomed slopes are concerned, can find perfect free-ride conditions in Brigels.   Read the whole test report ... There are not too many plain slopes, snowboarders could have problems with.	Especially snowboarders will like the extra broad slopes in the upper part of the skiing-area!	Next to many slopes some pretty nice powder descents can be found!
