Test report Ski Resort Crans Montana - Suitability for Beginners
Solely six easy trails, but great beginners areas in Crans Montana!
Beginners will probably doubt after having taken a look at the trail map if Crans Monana really is a good ski resort to take ones first swings at. Without doubt the majority of the slopes are of intermediate level but quite a few the beginners should be able to master. On the 2267m high Cry d’Er the inexperienced skier will find two tow lifts Cry d’Er T.2 and Le merignou which will take them up and around easy terrain where the novices can practice among their own kind without disturbance. On the middle base of the Cry d’Er gondola total novices are provided with magic carpets which take them up slopes that are perfect to take ones “first steps on skis” on. Only disadvantage: there are no easy slopes down to the base therefore the beginners have to descend by gondola. However Crans Montana still achieves the good mark of 4 stars in the beginners’ category.
