Crans Montana: Ski fun in Wallis!

On the southern mountainside of one of the most beautiful alpine valleys winter sports enthusiasts will find 140 km of diverse ski trails around the villages Montana, Crans, Barzettes and Aminona. For the journey there for those coming from the north it most recommendable to pass by Fribourg on the A12 and then follow the Autoroute du Rhone A9. This highway will take you far into Wallis and directly to the exit Crans-Montana. After exiting there is only short distance to be covered until you reach the high plateau. For those coming from the south it is most recommendable to travel via Geneva (Genf) on the highway A1 and then change to the highway A9. Unfortunately in winter the ski resort is not accessible from the east as the Furkapass is closed from from November 1st through april 30th.
