The ski resort Dachstein-West is one of the best family destinations in the Salzburger Land. First and foremost Dachstein-West is one of the largest family skiing areas and offers family-oriented pricing as well as the possibility to drop off the kids at the ski school. One of the big family advantages is the fact that every child under the age of six skis for free!! The local ski schools will introduce every beginner no matter how small to the winter sport of his or her preference. Furthermore two kids parks (“Sumsiland” and “Bärenland”) situated at the base areas Russbach and Gosau, will make chances high that your kids may never want to leave. The 9 easy and 24 intermediate slopes offer great variety which fits the novice as well as the advanced skiers needs. Only very skilled parents will miss challenging slopes at this ski resort. There is also the possibility to drop off the kids, if they are at least one year old, at a nursery station for several hours or even for the entire day. Professional nannies will take excellently care of your children and if desired kiddies can have lunch there as well. For those staying at an accommodation in Russbach this service is even free of charge. The only thing parents shouldn’t do is to let the kids go skiing on their own because of the big dimension of the ski resort. But families will find a perfect nursery for their children and therefore perfect conditions for a family dream-come-true vacation at Dachstein West.
