Ski resort Dachstein West. The superior family skiing area of the Salzburger Land!

The ski resort Dachstein-West is situated at 30 kilometres from the town Bad Ischl. For those coming from the north, the easiest access to the ski resort is via the A10 highway Salzburg. Exit Golling and continue through Abtenau and Annaberg until you reach Dachstein West. From the south you should also choose the A10 highway and exit Hüttau/Eben. The winter tourists coming from the east or the region around Vienna should take the A1 and exit Regau. Once at the ski resort, cash offices are in walking distance (30 – 400m) to the parking lot. This test report covers solely part of the ski resort (70 km of terrain). Those wanting to take full advantage of the ski resorts 140 kilometres of terrain must make use of the bus. But keep in mind that the other smaller ski resorts are only included in the skiing ticket if you buy at least a 1 ½ day ticket. The skiing resort covers an altitude from 780 to 2100 metres above sea level. A special offer is the mini-ski ticket for visitors under 6 years.
