„Davos Klosters Mountains“ – 5 ski resorts that delight!
Please note that: „Pischa“, „Madrisa“ and „Rinerhorn“ are three sub-resort areas belonging to „Davos/Klosters“. Rankings given in this report concern the whole resort network (5 resorts). This test report however concentrates on the ski network areas „Pischa“, „Madrisa“ and „Rinerhorn“. Detailed information on the ski network areas „Parsenn“ and „Jakobshorn“ can be found in a seperate test report (Parsenn & Jakobshorn).
„Davos“ is famous for being the highest city in the Alps and for snowsure slopes which reach as high as 2844 meters. Skiing pleasure is offered far into springtime, particularly on the north-facing slopes. Reaching „Davos“ is easy. Coming northbound you take the „A13“ exit „Lanquart“ and follow the highway to „Davos“. After a short travel time you’ll reach „Pischa“, „Madrisa“ and „Rinerhorn“ where you can park directly at the base area of the respective ski lift facility. As usual in Switzerland you have to pay a parking fee. The proximity to the base areas however makes up for the inconvenience of having to pay to park your car. All resort areas are predominantly equipped with t-bar lifts. Only exception are a few gondolas which facilitates accessing the mountains.
