When the snowfall's good, the dreams of snowboarders around the world become a white reality at Disentis. Off-slope, the possibilities are endless for snowboarders looking for a place to play in the unridden snow. Just be sure you're aware of the avalanche risk before you head out. Advanced snowboarders will also find a few challenging groomed slopes up the mountain from Disentis where they can get rid of their carving itch. But the cat-tracks leading from Lai Alv down to Dadens and back to Gendusas could force you to unstrap. The terrain park between Gendusas and Caischavedra (which we were unfortunately unable to evaluate due to the heavy snowfall) was specifically designed for freestylers.
