With 80km of trails Dorfgastein / Großarl boasts great terrain variety from easy beginners areas to demanding terrain and is therefore suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Of course expert skiers will also find terrain that fits their fancy. Winter sport enthusiasts who love challenge can ski 15km of difficult terrain including steeps. The best descents for experts are the “Heimalmabfahrt” at Dorfgastein or the “Lärchenhangabfahrt” at Großarl. Off piste enthusiasts will also enjoy a skiing excursion at Gastein due to the ungroomed terrain at the mountain station of the lift facility “Gipfelbahn Fulseck”. Furthermore a racing slope and a mogul slope are available. These should only be tackled by very skilled skiers because of its enormous length and difficulty. If more demanding slopes were available the ski resort could have obtained the best degree in this category as well.
