Falls Creek claims to be Australia´s freeride & freestyle capital. When you click through the categories of our test report, you will see that Falls Creek not only fits the demands of snowboarders. It´s also a great playground for first-timers and unskilled skiers. Falls Creek is beautifully located in North East Victoria in the so-called Gourmet Food & Wine Country at an altitude of 1500 metres. The resort can be accessed via the Hume Freeway. For those coming from Melbourne we recommend to exit the freeway at Wangaratta and follow the signs to Myrtleford, Bright, Mt. Beauty and Falls Creek. For those travelling southwards (coming from Sydney) it´s best to exit the highway at Albury and continue in direction Mt Beauty. The last part of the road up to Falls Creek is quite windy and snow chains are compulsory if you want to access the resort. As in all other big ski resorts in Australia there is fee that must be paid for the national park.
