Those among you who want to gather first experience on the board or skis should definitely check out the area around „Riezlern“ in the „Kleinwalsertal“ (Be early enough to snatch one of the parking spaces at the base area station!)Directly above of the „Kanzelwandbahn“ you’ll find a 300 meters long beginner area where local skiing schools offer courses. Two t-bar lifts (on eis located south of the „Kanzelwandbahn“) bring the beginners up the hill from where they then can slide down the practice slope. Should you already be a little more experienced you can easily take the „Kanzelwand“ gondola and check out the resort. The category blue runs 10, 8 and 4 (Please check out mountain map) are really nice to ride and even the category red runs are not too difficult. Heading back tot he valley we recommend to beginners to take the „Kanzelwand“ gondola. The 4.5 kilometers base area descent Nr. 15 down to „Riezlern“ is pretty challenging and could give some beginners a really hard time.
