In the winter sports region Gaissau Hintersee families with small kids will enjoy an easy and convenient introduction to the sport amidst the soaring mountain scenery. Lots of fun filled opportunities are at the kids’ disposal. For instance kid’s parks with ski and snowboard schools are situated at both base stations. The one in Hintersee is especially child oriented. Also the rest of the ski resort with its nine easy slopes and two further kid’s parks with practicing slopes is just perfectly equipped for families. Especially the long descent to the base station Gaissau (number 1) and the easy slope number 10 (“Kurvenlift”) are worthy of praise. If the kids have gained a little confidence on skis the intermediate slopes at Hintersee shouldn’t be too demanding. In this part of the area we recommend the slope number 7 leading to the “Latschenalm” lift facility as well as the descents number 12 and 13 which lead to the base area Hintersee.
