Galtür features 40 km of skiable terrain which are predominatly of intermediate level. However the trail map is slightly deceiving. The intermediate trails (marked red) are not challenging and with a little pracice novice skiers can easily discover the resort on intermediate level trails. Total newcomers to snow sports have the ski school pracice area at the base of the Alpkogelbahn gondola at their disposal. The magic carpet lifts there guarantee an easy and safe ascent and descent. There is only one trail in Galtür marked easy but as afore mentioned the intermediate level trails are not much more challenging and will cause no trouble! Recommendable is also trail 8 located by the Kopssee lifts. All in all Galtür is a nice novice area. However with only one easy trail wen can not award the highest mark.
