Galtür – snow sure ski fun at the end of the Paznau Valley!
Galtür is located at the very end of the 40km long Paznau Valley at the foot of the 2671 m high Ballunspitze at 1584m above sea level. These basic data reveal why Galtür belongs to the snow surest regions in Austria. Since the horrible avalanch catastrophe great efforts have been made to protect the village from such harm. The 19m high stone ridge protecting the village nowadays is quite striking. Those travelling by car to Galtür are recommended to take the Inntal Highway A12 or the A14 if you are coming from the west. Exit at Paznautal and take the national road B188 and drive the remaining 53km to Galtür. The state of the art ski lift facilities reach a 15000 person per hour capacity guaranteeing little waiting time and a fast ascent to the resort which extends up to the 2464m high Saggrat.| Final grade: |
