60 % of Galtür´s slopes are marqued intermediate level terrain (red). Thus good skiers have quite a variety of slopes at their disposal. The attractive resort which is nestled inbetween the flanks of the 2671m high Ballunspitze and the 2813 m high Vallüla Peak however is rather small counting only 40 kms of groomed trails and overcomes solely 600m in altitude, therefore none of the trails are very long. However Galtür scores in other aspects: the lift facilities are very modern and comfy (with sole exceptions being the Kopsee lifts and the Klein-Zeinislift). The lifts guarantee a very fast ascent and because Galtür remains a bit off the beaten track (in contrast to highly frequented neighbouring Ischgl) waiting times are a total exception!
