The skiing resort „Gitschberg“ located above „Meransen“ (1414m) is the least challening one among the three in the area „Eisacktal“. The only two category black runs at „Gitschberg“ are tob e found alongside the t-bar-lift „Segerwiese“ (Nr. 204). Most oft he category red runs are little challenging as well. A highlight for skilled riders ist he not groomed tour at the „Klein Gitsch“ (2262m), starting at the mountain station of the t-bar-lift „Mitterwiese“ (Nr. 206) and leading almost all the way down to „Meransen“. For those who are seeking challenging runs we recommend the neighboring resort „Jochtal“ with ist three category black base area descents. The planned connection of the two resorts via a modern gondola facility will definitely upgrade the resort and could then offer 45 kilometers of skiable terrain to skilled riders.
