Resort Review Gitschberg Meransen - Intermediate Skiers

70 % of all slopes at the „Gitschberg“ are categorized as red!

Evaluation Intermediate Skiers: Gitschberg Meransen: Evaluation: 3.5
At a first glance at the mountain map advanced riders will immediately realize what they’re offered at the resort above „Meransen“. The highlight is the all the way category red run from the highest point of the resort, the mountain station of the 4-passenger chair-lift (2512m), 1100 meters down to „Meransen“. The two category black runs alongside the t-bar lift „Sergerwiese“ (Nr.204) are not overtly challenging and therefore also nice to ride for sportive advanced riders. The neighboring resorts „Gitschberg“ and „Jochtal“ are planing to connect their resorts which would definitely upgrade the skiing area as it would then offer over 45 kilometers of skiable terrain. For real skiing afficionados the 25 kilometers of slope around the „Gitschberg“ offer entertainment for one day, but not more. To the latter we recommend a visit to the neighboring resorts „Jochtal“ and „Plose“.
