The skiing area „Eisacktal“, surrounded by the „Zillertaler“ Alps in the north and the rugged „Dolomites“ in the south , is a insiders tip not far from the well-known the South Tyrolean resorts „Gröden“, „Alta Badia“ and „Kronplatz“. Particularly families can spend a wonderful skiing vacation at „Gitschberg“ far off from overcrowded masstourism spots. We’re sure to the planed connection of the two resorts „Gitschberg“ and „Jochtal“ will upgrade the skiing region a lot and will make it more interesting for advanced and very skilled skiers. What definitely misses at the resort is the fun park for snowboarders. The slopes are nice to ride for boarders but an upgrading in this field would do the resort good. The resort can definitely be recommended for a one-day-skiing trip. Should you plan a longer stay to the „Eisacktal“ region you should definitely inlcude the areas „Plosen“ and „Jochtal“ into your planning.
