For families the ski resort “Goldeck” is definitely not the perfect choice. Although the upper areas of the resort are suitable for parents and children, the way there and back down to the base area of the resort at “Spittal” is more than tedious. Up the hill you only get via a floatation gondola, which can be quite unpleasant for children. The return to the valley via the base area descent is very difficult for yet unskilled riders, which leaves them with no other choice but to take the gondola back down to the base station of the resort. Should you still decide to take the terminal 8,5 km long category black run, one has to, after having safely reached the valley, take one of the free ski shuttles to return to the parking area and the base station of the gondola. However, it is only fair to say that the upper part of the “Goldeck” resort can be fun to ride for the whole family, even though there are no special options for this target group.
