„Grindelwald-First“ is the resort with the most family friendly slopes in the „Jungfraugebiet“. All category blue, as well as red runs can be managed by children with a little experience in the field of skiing. The only descents that should be avoided with your youngest ones are the category black run Nr. 5 alongside the „Egg“ t-bar-lift and Nr. 15 below of the „Schreckfeld“ ( Check out the mountain map!). Our tip for families with really young children: „Wengen“ in the area „Männlichen-Scheidegg“ (can be entered with the same skiing pass as „Grindelwald-First“) is car-free and has a great childrens area and some great practice slopes directly at the village. „Wengen“ seems tob e the perfect destination for young families, although the skiing area „First“ above of „Grindelwald“ also has a nice practice area (skiing school area „Bodmi“ at the base area oft he „Grindelwald-First“ gondola).
