The resort area „First“ above „Grindelwald“ has achieved good reputation among snowboarders. And that deservedly so: with ist 3 boarder parks and the freeride routes at the „Oberjoch“ „Grindelwald“ ist he best Switzerland has to offer in terms of snowboarding. The slopes however are more something for families and beginners. As the resort areas „Grindelwald- First“ and „Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen“ can be both used with the same ski pass (ski shuttle between the two resort areas) we decided to evaluate them together. Thanks tot he great options advanced riders have at „Männlichen“ „First“ achieved the highest possible ranking in this category. Should you feel like checking out even more kilometers of slope you should buy yourself the Kombi-ski-pass with which you can additionally ride at the pretty challenging area „Mürren-Schilthorn“. You should however not try to switch between the areas around „Wengen“ and „Mürren“ on the same day as the connection facilites are extremely slow and departure times have to be payed close attention to.
