Resort Review Hinterstoder Höss - Apres Ski

Rustic huts on Hutterer Boden and Alpineum at Hinterstoder

Evaluation Apres Ski: Hinterstoder Höss: Evaluation: 4
Après ski fans are definitely going to appreciate one thing about Hinterstoder: all the partiers gather right before lift-close at the “Lederhose Hoss,” “Logerhutte,” “Hoss Salettl” and “Barenhutte Hoss” huts to get the party started before taking the last run back down into the valley. For a quick break during the day, we recommend the highest restaurant at the resort – Berggasthaus Hoss, which has an incredible view of the Totes Gebirge (a part of the Northern Limestone Alps in Austria) as well as the Kalkalpen National Park. What you won’t find at Hinterstoder are loud parties extending into the wee hours of the morning. But the cultural activities there might just help make up for that. At the Hinterstoder Alpineum you’ll find a five-story exhibition on the early wood-working days as well as the history of winter sports.

The rustic "Lederhosn" mountain restaurant is located slightly down mountain from the base terminal of the Hoss Express.
The highest-situated restaurant at Hinterstoder: “Berggasthaus Hoss.”
View of Barenhutte Hoss.
In front of the Barenhutte is a small après-ski gazebo with big party energy.
The Barenhutte Hoss is a major attraction for sunbathers when the weather’s nice.
The Hoss Salettl offers regional culinary specialties
