For those still not exactly sturdy on their skis or boards, Hintertux's glacier provides 23 full kilometers of easy (blue) groomed slopes. The trails Mahlgrube (no.16) and Ramsmoos (no.15) are located directly across from the upper terminals of the Sommerberg and Gletscherbus 1 lifts, which are great practice lifts for beginners. Two further lifts well-suited for beginners are the Olperer 1 and 2, both tows. The blue trail Höllscharten (no.12) provides skiing pleasure for beginners all the way up at 3000 meters above sea-level! One drawback for the less-practiced is the fact that they won't be able to reach many of the blue trails without having to take a red (intermediate) one to get there. The ski resort Hintertux receives a score of 3.5 out of a possible 5 stars in the beginners' category.
