Resort Review Hintertux - Experts
16km of black trails, with 5 ski routes
| Evaluation Experts: |

Expert skiers will find a total of 16km of black trails on the Hintertuxer Glacier. Apart from the two groomed black trails Waschrumpl (no.5a) and Sonnenhang (no.11b), those 16km include a total of five ungroomed ski routes which are certain to challenge even the best of skiers. Most of those routes (nos.2, 13, 13a) are located around the double chairlift Lärmstange. Mogul fans will find their niche at the Gefrorene Wand. And experts won't necessarily have to stick to the black trails to test their limits, either; some of the longer red trails (total 47km) will have you feeling the burn as well – such as those running down from Gefrorene Wand to Sommerbergalm (please refer to trail map). After a good snowfall, experts might also consider trading in the gondola-ride back to the base for a run on Schwarze Pfanne (no.1a). Considering the fact that Hintertux is a glacial ski area, the expert conditions here were quite impressive, and earned it a score of 4 out of 5 stars in the category.
