The Hintertux Glacier, like most summer ski resorts is advantageous for families. The ski resort is clearly laid out and most trails end at the Glacier Plateau. Kids just can’t get lost here. The only criticism that must be mentioned concerns the mountain station of the two Operer lifts (9 and 9a). Here the south western mountainside is improperly secured. Unfortunately there is no kids park so parents need to always keep a watchful eye on the children. Furthermore a ski vacation in Hintertux Glacier should only be planned if the kids feel confident on skis and are no longer afraid on steep slopes.
